What's in Fayez Lake

There is so much to see in Fayez Lake.  As there are various rides for children, adults will also find mountains, lakes all in a captivating environment.  There are hills around the region and in the middle there are Arunamayi, Godhuli, Akashmani, Mandakini, Dakshini, Alakanda heart.  Rows and rows of boats can be seen on the shores of the lake.  It takes tens of minutes to get on the boat.  After that you will see green hills on both sides, occasionally a couple of deer and various unnamed birds.  Along with this there is a place for deer to roam in a pleasant environment.  A small zoo has been set up at the entrance of Fayez Lake to attract tourists.  The biggest attraction of Fayez Lake is the beauty of the lake and its surrounding hills.

An amusement park has recently opened at Fayez Lake.  The lake has boat trips, landscaping, restaurants, floating stage concerts, scenic walks and many other fun and enjoyable things.  Visitors can take a boat trip to enjoy the breathtaking view of the lake.  There are 2 high slides in the amusement park and they are high speed roller coasters and bumper boats.  There is a leisure center here for people of all ages and tastes.  People can have fun and excitement in Fayez Lake as well as peace and tranquility.  ‘Sea World’ is a water theme park at Fayez Lake in the heart of Chittagong.  Splash Pool, Water Coaster Rider and everything that can be expected as a world class theme park is in Sea World.

Although the entrance to Fayez Lake Entertainment World has completely changed from the Chittagong side, the natural beauty of the lake is still very clear.  So many visitors have thoroughly enjoyed the amusement park and many more enjoy the natural beauty of Fayez Lake.

Fayez Lake is open Saturday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m.

Where to stay

Fayez Lake has its own management of luxury accommodation.  There are great cottages and resorts on the shores of the lake.  There are honeymoon cottages for newlyweds.  Of course, you can also visit Fay's Lake from another residential hotel if you wish.  Entry fee and ride cost are within reach.  All rides including admission to Theme Park Fay's Lake Concord Amusement World are tk. 200, all rides including Water Park Sea World Concord entry are tk. 350.  Resort and cottage rent is from BDT 2,500 to BDT 7,000 per night at Fayez Lake Resort and DBT 2,500 to BDT 6,000 per night at the resort bungalow.

Besides, there are various quality hotels in Chittagong.  Below are the names and addresses of some budget hotels.  These are all standard but low budget hotels.

1.  Hotel Paramount, Station Road, Chittagong: Just opposite the new train station.  In our opinion this is the best hotel on a budget.  Nice location, spacious corridor (not even a five star hotel with such a large corridor).  The rooms are good too.

2.  Hotel Asian SR, Station Road, Chittagong: This is also a very beautiful hotel.  Tidy, clean hotel. 

3.  Hotel Safina, Enayet Bazar, Chittagong: A medium quality hotel with a family atmosphere.  There is a beautiful restaurant on the roof.  If you sit there at night, you will not want to come. 

4.  Hotel Naba Inn, Road 5, Plot-60, OR Nizam Road, Chittagong.  A little more rented hotel.  However, it is ideal for those who want to stay in Nasirabad / O and Nizam Road area.

5.  Hotel Landmark, 3062 Sheikh Mujib Road, Agrabad, Chittagong: Good hotel to stay in Agrabad.
